Jack Justin Ebeling, 91, a lifelong resident of Round Mountain, passed away peacefully Feb 29, 2016. He was born June 18, 1924.

Jack was a dedicated husband and father; a respected rancher; a member of the American Hereford Association, the Texas Hereford Association and First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls; and a veteran of World War II.

Jack is survived by his wife of 71 years, Frances; daughter, Martha and husband Steve Baker; son, Lynn Ebeling and wife Mya; granddaughter, Amber Ebeling Bartosh; and grandson, Slater Ebeling.

He was preceded in death by parents, Irma Galloway and Louis Ebeling; sisters, Alberta Hyatt and Loma Wenmohs; and brother, Hugh Ebeling.

Jack and Frances carried on operation of the Lazy E Ranch, building up a registered Hereford herd that was recognized as one of the premier herds in the country. He sold breeding stock to other breeders not only in Texas but other states as well as Mexico.

Per Jack’s request, the family will wait and have a joint service for him and Frances at her time of death.

The family would like to thank the staff of Spanish Trails Assisted Living at Horseshoe Bay and Harbor Hospice for their professional care and kindness.
