Janet Clara Robertson, 83, of Marble Falls died Dec. 6, 2015

Janet Clara Robertson of Marble Falls, Texas, died Dec. 6, 2015. She is the daughter of Frank and Erna Loth, born in Fredericksburg, Texas, on April 1, 1932. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School.
Janet “Jan” was an artist with a broad background in arts and crafts. She loved to paint flowers and landscapes and focused on oil paintings of the Texas Hill Country. Her oil paintings were on display at the Highland Arts Gallery, where she participated in classes, demos and workshops. She was a member of the Highland Arts Guild and served as chairman for the work schedule calendar and was responsible for scheduling volunteer workers for the gallery. She also served as membership chairman, display chairman and second vice president.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, where she worked with the Women’s Fellowship Group on arts and crafts and helped take care of the altar linens. She served as Eucharistic minister at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church and was active with the arts and crafts at the Ladies Club there. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America. She was active in fundraising events at Sons of Hermann Lodge 120 of Austin. She also served on the board of trustees at the Highland Lakes Lodge, Sons of Hermann.
She was married to retired Navy Master Chief Larkin Robertson, and they lived in several locations in California; Kingsville, Texas; Charleston, South Carolina; Washington D.C.; Bainbridge, Maryland; Norfolk, Virginia; Austin; and Briarcliff on Lake Travis. They retired in Marble Falls.
They loved to travel, and their favorite home away from home was the Hale Koa Hotel at Fort DeRussy on Waikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii. She spent good times with her friends and family while boating, fishing, camping and swimming on the Highland Lakes.
She is survived by her spouse, Larkin Robertson; son, James Robertson and wife Janice; daughters, Janice Crail and husband David and Dorothy Dawson and husband David; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clinton Loth.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 in the chapel at St. John’s Catholic Church. Mass is 2 p.m. Dec. 12 in the chapel.
