Harry Leon Cooksey Jr., 76, of Kingsland died Nov. 27, 2015

Harry Leon Cooksey Jr., 76, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Nov. 27, 2015. He was born to Harry Leon Cooksey Sr. and his wife on Aug. 25, 1939, in Houston.

Harry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army with two tours in the Korean War. He settled in Houston, where he worked as a construction machinist in the building trades.

He enjoyed fishing, and about eight years ago, he retired to the Hill Country so he could do just that.

He is survived by his sons, John Cooksey and Victor Cooksey, both of Kingsland, and Mark Cooksey of Houston; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Weathers of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy Cooksey.
