Judy Bertling Carpenter, 66, of Marble Falls died Sept. 15, 2015

Judy Bertling Carpenter, born Dec. 14, 1948, the daughter of Ray and Linnie Bertling, passed away Sept. 15, 2015, in Dallas following a bout with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jim B. Carpenter; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Donnie Dobbins; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amanda Carpenter; granddaughter, Makenzie Carpenter; grandson, Seth Carpenter; sister and brother-in-law Gay and Bill Galey; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Barbara Bertling; sister Laurie Long; sister and brother-in-law Cathy and Clarence Barker; sister-in-law Norma Frasier; brother-in-law Bob Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Linnie Bertling; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Ruby Carpenter; brother-in-law L.D. Long; brother-in-law, Joe Frasier; sister-in-law Cleda Abbott; brother-in-law Dennis Abbott; and sister-in-law Betty Carpenter.
She was a lifetime resident of Marble Falls, graduating from Marble Falls High School in 1967. She was an active member of the Marble Falls Church of Christ.
She worked as a Farmer’s agent for nine years, and for 22 years, she worked alongside her husband, who was an insurance adjuster. Her greatest and most rewarding jobs were mother, grandmother and wife. She married the love of her life on Dec. 17, 1965, and spent the next 49 years by his side as a partner in business and life.
She loved shopping, cooking and especially following her grandchildren, cheering them on as they competed in school and sporting events. She spent a wonderful life serving her Lord and loving her family.
A funeral service is 10 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Marble Falls Church of Christ.
