Mary Viola Reed, 84, of Llano died Sept. 12, 2015
Mary Viola Reed, 84, of Llano went to her heavenly home Sept. 12, 2015. Mary was a Christian and baptized at an early age.
She worked many years for Hill Country Manor Nursing Home and later as caregiver for the elderly in their homes. Her compassion for and service of the elderly was well known in Llano.
Mary was a devoted daughter and sister and had a boundless love for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Harriet Merkel; siblings Carl, Bill, Jim, Della, Lorene, Lou and Pauline; husbands, Richard Mau and E.C. Reed; and granddaughter Melanie Dunn.
She is survived by her children, Roy (Paula) Mau, Jimmie (Brenda) Mau, Bobby (Cheryl) Reed, Donna Snow, Sharon (Sam) Cates, Penny (Matthew) Blackmon and Tim Reed; sister Patricia Ratliff; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is Sept. 18 at Llano City Cemetery with a celebration of life at the Cowboy Church following the service.
