Billy Andrew Miller, 69, passed away May 13, 2015.
A funeral service was May 16 at First Baptist Church in Burnet with interment at Pursley Cemetery in Dripping Springs.
Born in Orlando, Florida, on May 24, 1945, to Fritz and Sylvia Miller, he married his wife of 52 years, Gail, in April 1963. Together they raised three children: Brenda, Brian and Brittany.
Before retiring in 2005, Billy worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years. That career began in Austin and continued in 1977 after moving to Burnet.
He spent many hours enjoying time with his children coaching their T-ball and soccer teams. Billy also spent time working on cars and model trains. He loved being a member of First Baptist Church of Burnet, where he not only served as a youth director, he also assisted with the nursery and the sound system and for many years as a cast member in Main Street Bethlehem. Continuing his service within the church, he was ordained as a deacon on Sept. 25, 1983.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Sylvia Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gail Miller of Burnet; children, Brenda Miller of Houston, Brian Miller of Houston and Brittany Villa and husband Rufino of Crawford; grandchildren, Seth Rowney and wife Kristyn of Midlothian, Raeghan Rowney of The Woodlands, Jordyn Villa of Crawford and CeCe Villa of Crawford; and great-grandchildren Kaedyn, Kinzy and Cash Rowney of Midlothian.
