She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was known as “De De.” Audrey was a beautiful, loving, kind and caring wife and mother who was always there for her family and others. Mother’s special time of the day was her 3:00 tea time.
We love you and will miss you greatly. Audrey has been a lifelong member of Episcopal Church of Burnet, served on the Altar Guild for about 60 years and volunteered at LA Care.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Stan.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Ernest, to whom she was married for 70 years; two daughters, Jeanette “Jeanie” Cemper of Cedar Park and Pam Jeager of Austin; two son, Kim Newton and wife Luanne of Burnet and Terry Newton and Pat of Lago Vista; three grandchildren, Monica Banks, Scott Bird and Alan Newton; and three great-grandchildren, Garrett Banks, Travis Bird and Jackson Bird.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all who gave their loving care to her: Circle of Hands, Hill Country Home and Health and Scott & White Hospice.
