Phillip Womack Sr., 67, of Marble Falls dies Sept. 28, 2014

A service for Phillip Womack Sr., 67, of Marble Falls is 10 a.m. Oct. 2 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. Dr. Jim Duncan will officiate.
Phillip was born in Alvin, Texas, on Oct. 20, 1946, to Kenneth and Jenny Roller Womack and passed from this life Sept. 28, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He graduated from Alvin High School and was a member of the Future Farmers of America and a bareback and bull rider while in high school.
After working at different jobs, including breaking horses to tame them, he went to air-conditioning school and eventually opened his own business in Marble Falls in 1976.
People who met him could not help but like him. He would help anyone who needed help. Phillip was a Pee Wee Football and Little League coach. He would help support anything that had to do with children.
His sons were the apples of his eye. He was extremely proud of them. By his actions and words, he taught them to be good sons to their parents, which, in turn, prepared them to be good husbands and fathers. He took great pride in taking care of his wife. Some say he spoiled her rotten and took great pride in doing so.
He was an avid hunter, liked to go fishing and loved the Cowboys. He also loved his two cats, Rambo and Skittles, who stayed by his side while he was sick.
He was well liked and admired by people in the community, young and old and in between. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Womack; son Jeromy Womack; his grandmother, to whom he was very close, Thelma “Granny” Roller; and loving brother-in-law Tommy Gonzales.
He is survived by his mother, Jenny Womack; loving wife of 49 years, Lois Ann; children Phillip Womack Jr., Robert Womack and wife Anna and Justin Womack Sr. and fiance Cecila Paul; brother, Ray Womack; sister, Bess Wallace; grandchildren, Hailey Bramley and husband Jason, Sarah Womack, Cooper Womack, Justin Womack Jr., Griffin Womack and Rebamarie Paul; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Those serving as pallbearers are Jeff Halterman, Tyron Clayborn, Barry Womack, Ron Savage, Larry Wallace and Anthony Mayfield.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Oct. 1.
