Sue Aubrey Mears, 67, of Marble Falls, Texas, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2014. She was born in DeQueen, Ark., on Oct. 16, 1946, to Derrell and Laverne Aubrey, both of whom preceded her in death.

She also was preceded in death by her sister, Nina.

Sue graduated from Santa Fe High school in Santa Fe, Texas, in 1965 and was married to her husband and best friend, Roger Mears, for two years.

Sue retired from Monsanto/Sterling Chemical in 1996 and enjoyed traveling the country in a motorhome with Roger and her Shi Tzus, Dixie and Lily. While living in Marble Falls, Sue loved flowers, birdwatching, worshiping at Cross Stone Church, listening to local musicians and, especially, spending time with her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her husband, Roger; her dogs; sons, Mac McDaniel and spouse Robin, Aaron Mears and spouse Sammy and Marcus Mears and spouse Kristi. She also is survived by grandchildren, Austin Mears, Katrina McDaniel, Kirk McDaniel, Kyle McDaniel, Reagan Mears and Alex Mears, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service is 3 p.m. July 12 at Grandview Funeral Home in Pasadena with burial to follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
