OBITUARY: Virginia Boswell Duncan, 83, of Llano dies June 27, 2014

Virginia Boswell Duncan, 83, passed away peacefully June 27, 2014. She was born March 12, 1931, to James and Violet (Brown) Boswell in Llano, Texas.
Virginia graduated in 1948 from Llano High School, where she was a twirler/majorette for three years. She married the love of her life, Lee B. Duncan, on June 5, 1948. They were married for 66 years.
She worked as a bookkeeper and a teacher’s aide for Llano Independent School District, was owner/operator of the Llano Credit Bureau and also worked as an assistant district clerk for Llano County until retirement.
Virginia was a lifetime resident of Llano and also a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Llano. She played active roles in the church, serving in many areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Violet Boswell.
She is survived by her son, Joel Duncan and wife Dixie Duncan; daughter, Louann Benson and husband Jack Benson; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is 3 p.m. June 29 at First Baptist Church in Llano with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating. Burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Decker, Albert Moursund, Paul McCarty, Tommy Duncan, Robby Heinz, Jimmy Roberts and Clyde Dowdle.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Llano Food Bank.
