William Darrell Stark, 55, of Llano, Texas, passed away May 1, 2014. He was born to William A. and Mary E. (Kinser) Stark in Houston on March 12, 1959.

Bill served in the U.S. Air Force in 1977, was stationed in England as a security specialist and honorably discharged in August 1978.

He returned to Llano and worked at various jobs for the past 36 years. He was employed by the Llano County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer in 1988 and 1989.

He was generous and loving to his friends and family, making contributions when he could. In his spare time, he enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing.

Bill is survived by his mother, Mary Siniard of Llano; brothers, Mark Stark of Llano and Samuel Stark of Wilton Manor, Fla.; sister, Kathy Schreiber of Kingsland; three nephews; two nieces; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; and numerous friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William A. Stark, in April 2008.

A graveside service is 11 a.m. May 3 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4 South in Burnet with the Rev. Richard Vandeventer and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard officiating.
