Carole Coberly Holt, 75, passed away April 6, 2014, at Windchime Assisted Living in Kingsland, Texas. She was born in Sanoma, W.Va., on July 7, 1938.

She was an Army Civil Service employee at Fort Campbell, Ky., until her retirement after 20 years. She made Texas her home in 2002 and loved the Lone Star State.

Carole’s interests included cooking, reading, sewing, needle craft, music and bird watching. She took great interest and pride in her homes and had taken classes on interior design.

Carole was truthful to a fault and possessed a keen wit and a dry sense of humor. She shared these traits with her book and bridge clubs and with the congregations of two Trinity Episcopal Churches: the first in Clarksville, Tenn., and the last in Marble Falls.

Carole is survived by her brother, William James Coberly III; two daughters, Hunter Ann Holt and Hilary Holt Barrineau (James); and grandchildren, Grace Coberly Rogers Searle, William Holt Barrineau and Hunter James Barrineau.

Visitation is 1-3 p.m. April 10 at Edgar & Jenkins Family Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Marble Falls Cemetery.
