OBITUARY: John Haywood Broadway, 79, of Kingsland dies Sept. 30, 2013
John Haywood Broadway, 79, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Sept. 30, 2013, in Round Rock, Texas. He was born in San Angelo, Texas, on Dec. 14, 1933, to Calvin Allen and Maggie Bell (Faulk) Broadway.
John lived in Kingsland for five years, moving from Germany. He married Bettie Jane Wilson on June 6, 1953, in San Angelo. John was a Presbyterian and loved hunting, fishing and farming.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Jane Broadway of Kingsland; son, John R. Broadway and wife JoAnn of Atoka, Okla.; daughters Kara Lynn Leming and husband Jason of Kingsland and Dae Ann Cannon and husband Voyd of Atoka, Okla.; brothers Tommy Broadway of San Angelo, Bobby Broadway of Kansas City, Kan., and Allen Broadway of San Angelo; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Toni K. Smith; one sister; and one brother.
In John’s memory, contributions may be made to the Community Church in Kingsland.
