OBITUARY: Jewel Gertrude Todd, 92, of Kingsland dies July 13, 2013

Jewel Gertrude Todd of Kingsland, a spiritual giant, went home to be with her Lord on July 13, 2013. She was 92 years old, a fierce prayer warrior and a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years who touched countless lives. She was born in Rattan, Okla., on March 21, 1921.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, G.R. Todd, and granddaughter Christi Todd. She was the last survivor of 16 children.
She is survived by her five sons, Merle, Don, Doug, Clarence and J.E. and their families. She has 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, who will miss their “Mema,” and several nieces and nephews.
How instrumental she was in building faith in all her family and so many others!
A funeral service is July 16 at First Baptist Church in Kingsland with a public viewing at 1 p.m. and the service at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Bubba Stahl will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
