OBITUARY: Annie Randle Ward, 93, of Horseshoe Bay dies April 26, 2013

Annie Randle Ward passed away April 26, 2013, in Austin. She was born Oct. 28, 1919, to William and Mary Fountain.
Annie earned a Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State Women’s College and an Master of Science from Louisiana State University. She taught school for a few years before raising her children.
Annie married Robert Curtis Randle in 1945. They lived in various locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Connecticut before retiring to Horseshoe Bay. They had two sons and a long and happy marriage until his death in 1985. She then was married to Floyd Ward from 1991 until his death in 1998.
Annie loved and excelled in golf, tennis, swimming and, particularly, dancing. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to garden. For many years, she was active in her church and sang in the choir.
She was dearly beloved by her family and always had a smile and kind word for all.
Annie is survived by her brother, Robert Fountain of College Station; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Sherry Randle of Kingsland and their sons, Robert of Killeen and Bryan Randle of Granite Shoals; son and daughter-in-law David and Susan Randle of Austin and their sons, James “Seth” and wife Amy of Austin and William Randle of Amsterdam, the Netherlands; and two great-granddaughters, Helen and Sonia Randle of Austin.
A private service will be held for this gracious and lovely lady who will be truly missed.
