Media M. Dawson, 83, passed away April 22, 2013, at Windchime Memory Care in Kingsland, Texas. She was born in Wheeler, Texas, on Aug. 9, 1929.

She graduated as valedictorian from Shamrock High School in 1946 and attended West Texas State College in Canyon, where she met her future husband, Bob Dawson. After college, Bob and Media moved to Borger, Texas, and lived there from 1950 until moving to Horseshoe Bay in 1992. The family spent many summers in Gunnison, Colo., where they also made many dear friends.

Media always enjoyed antiquing and sharing her finds with dear friends who shared her passion for antiquing. After raising her children, Media and a group of friends started and developed a love of tennis and golf and enjoyed many a competitive game. She treasured friendships made with those who shared her loves of golf, tennis and antiques.
