OBITUARY: Bette Poe, 90, of Granite Shoals worked as X-ray technician

Bette Poe, 90, passed away Feb. 17, 2013, at her home in Granite Shoals. She was born May 7, 1922, in Caddo, Texas, to Willie G. and Bessie Lou (Bilbrey) Bort.
Bette spent most of her youth in and around Graham, Texas, where she grew up and went to school. She was a resident of Snyder for many years before moving in 1986 to Granite Shoals, where she became an active member of First Baptist Church.
Bette was a homemaker and trained and worked as an X-ray technician. At the time of her passing, she was employed as an X-ray technician at Burnet’s Shepperd Medical Clinic, where she worked for many years.
Bette is survived by her son Dennis Harman and wife Lynn of Oceanside, Calif.; daughter-in-law Barbara Harman of Marble Falls; grandchildren, Hunter Harman of Snyder, Brad Harman Jr. of Leander, Shannon Scott of El Paso and Jacy Harman of Oceanside, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Tanner Harman, Ryan and Rylie Scott and Braxton Harman.
Bette was preceded in death by husbands, Thomas D. Harman and Billy Joe Poe; and son Brad Harman.
A visitation is 5-7 p.m. Feb. 20 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A funeral service is 1 p.m. Feb. 21 at First Baptist Church in Granite Shoals with the Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Serving as pallbearers are deacons of the church.
