Bullpups edge Texans for victory

“We started out a little slow, but shortly into the third quarter we really turned it on,” coach Glen Hafley said. “We were able to erase a 12-point deficit and pull ahead.”  

Wimberley took the lead back, 14-6, at the half.

But Burnet outscored the Texans, 23-13, in the second half.

“We never gave up and in the end, we pulled out a close and hard-fought game,” the coach said.  “These boys are really working hard and never give up.  I am very proud of the effort they put forward.”  

Burnet will host Ingram Thursday.
