Barry David Beasley
Barry David Beasley, 62, of Buchanan Dam was born in Savannah, Ga., on March 18, 1950, to Jack and Virginia Moore Beasley and passed from this life on Jan. 12, 2013, at home surrounded by loving family.
He owned and operated the Poppy’s Pointe Resort on Lake Buchanan for many years.
He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra, and his parents.
He is survived by son Dustin Beasley and wife Kristy of Temecula, Calif.; brothers Bill Beasley and wife Gwen of Guyton, Ga., and Joe Beasley of Lakeland, Fla.; sister Deborah Johnson of Buchanan Dam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is 6 p.m. Jan. 19 Poppy’s Point Resort, 400 Emerald Circle in Buchanan Dam.
