Highland Lakes football teams return to the field Friday, Sept. 25, for week five, with Marble Falls and Llano hitting the road and Burnet hosting its homecoming game. Faith Academy has the week off.
Here are the matchups for Friday night:
Marble Falls at Navarro Panthers (Away)
KICKOFF: 7:00 p.m. Friday

Marble Falls celebrated homecoming last Friday with a dominant 55-0 shutout of Austin’s Liberal Arts & Science Academy.
The Mustangs had no trouble finding the end zone, scoring 21 points in each of the first two quarters before adding 13 in the third. The victory improved Marble Falls to 2-2 on the season.
Marble Falls hopes to build momentum on Friday against the Navarro Panthers, who are 2-1 and coming off a narrow loss to La Vernia.
Burnet Bulldogs vs Gatesville Hornets (Home)
KICKOFF: 7:00 p.m. Friday
WHERE: Bulldog Stadium, 1401 N. Main Street in Burnet
LAST WEEK: Blanco 28, Burnet 7
Burnet hopes to earn its first win of the season Friday when the Bulldogs host the Gatesville Hornets, 2-2, for homecoming.
The Bulldogs showed life in the third quarter of last week’s loss to Blanco, scoring their only touchdown while holding the Panthers scoreless. Blanco added another touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the 28-7 victory.
Burnet will host Gatesville at 7 p.m. Friday, with the Hornets also looking to bounce back after a 58-38 loss to the Whitney Wildcats.
Faith Academy Flames
LAST WEEK: Medina Bobcats 58, Faith Academy 8
Faith Academy suffered a tough 58-8 home loss to the Medina Bobcats, dropping the Flames to 2-2 on the season.
The Flames will have some time to regroup before returning to action Oct. 2, when they play away against the Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles.
Llano Yellowjackets at Bandera Bulldogs (Away)
KICKOFF: 7:00 p.m. Friday
WHERE: Bulldog Stadium, 451 Old San Antonio Hwy in Bandera
LAST WEEK: Lago Vista 51, Llano 36
Llano’s early-season momentum has slowed after back-to-back losses, including a 51-36 setback to Lago Vista on Friday.
The Yellowjackets kept pace offensively throughout the game, reaching the end zone in every quarter and scoring twice in the second. The loss was Llano’s second straight after opening the season with victories over Burnet and Jim Ned.
The Yellowjackets return to the field at 7 p.m. Friday against the Bandera Bulldogs, who are also 2-2 after a 44-14 loss to Ingram Tom Moore last week.
