Horseshoe Bay Resort is expanding its racquet sports facilities.

The resort recently broke ground on the $10 million project, which will add four dedicated padel courts and a new Racquet Sports Clubhouse. The expansion is expected to open by summer 2027 and will add 6,690 square feet of indoor and covered outdoor space.

The resort currently has 12 tennis courts, six hard courts and six red clay courts, and 14 dedicated pickleball courts. The new enclosed padel courts will provide a dedicated space for other racquet sports alongside the resort’s existing facilities.

The new clubhouse will include an indoor lounge overlooking the courts, along with reception, retail and gathering space. A 2,632-square-foot covered outdoor lounge also will provide additional court-viewing space.

“The clubhouse is envisioned as more than a sports venue, it will serve as the social heart of the resort’s racquet sports experience,” Randy Zupanski, managing director of Horseshoe Bay Resort, said. “This project is a sign of our resort owners’ continuing commitment to be leaders in the racquet sport and resort industries serving members with an elevated, all-inclusive racquet experience and an amplified amenity for resort guests that fosters engagement.”
