Travelers along U.S. 281 in Burnet recently gained another option to stop and shop for fuel, snacks, and more, as a new Casey’s convenience store opened its doors the week of Friday, Aug. 28.

The newest location of the gas and scratch pizza mecca is located at 404 N. Water Street (U.S. 281), featuring a roughly 4,600-square-foot storefront and 12 pump stations.

According to Texas Department of Licensing and Registration filings, the Casey’s was estimated to cost $762,000, and began construction in November 2025.

Casey’s is an Iowa-based convenience retailer founded in 1968 that is known for its handmade pizzas, which have given the company the status as the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country. Burnet County is home to one other Casey’s location in Marble Falls, also along U.S. 281.
