Danny John Frisch
Danny John Frisch, 64, died Oct. 8, 2010. He was born Sept. 30, 1946, in Houston.
He was the son of Adolph William and Amanda Edna Frisch and brother of Randy Frisch.
He attended St. Marks Lutheran School through eighth grade and graduated from Spring Branch High School. He served as a Houston police officer for 30 years, soon after he graduated from Massey Business College with an accounting degree.
He married Aug. 14, 1965, at St. Marks Lutheran Church.
Nicknamed “Pops,” “Papaw” and “Posse,” he was a family man who enjoyed his retirement at Lake Buchannan. He loved golf, fishing, cowboy shows, coffee and his pets Stormy and Simon.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kathleen Hargis Frisch; daughters Cynthia Renee and husband Chet Wilson, Deborah Kay and husband Mark Smith, and Amy Kathleen and husband Geoff Lampe; sons Richard Allen and wife Stephanie Frisch, Danny John Jr. and wife Beverly Frisch, and Michael James and wife Tiffany Frisch; grandchildren Bethany, Emily, Elizabeth, Ethan, Jonathan, Meagan, Nathan, Ryan and Rylee Frisch, Evan and Taryn Lampe, Heather Reese, Jessica, Stephanie and Taylor Smith; and great-grandson Jayden.
A memorial service was Oct. 10 at Clements-Wilcox Chapel, 306 Texas 29, (512) 756-2222.
