Four members of the Highland Lakes Chapter of the Bikers Against Child Abuse were on duty at the Burnet County Courthouse Annex on Wednesday, May 27. Chapter member Robert “Bulldog” Ybarra (left), President Mike “Waldo” Ybarra, member David “Blue” Berry, and member Rick “Highlander” Prewitt, were all on site to help support a child victim of violent crime during their day at court.

The Highland Lakes Chapter oversees Burnet, Llano, McCulloch, Mills, and San Saba counties. The group coordinates with whatever agency is overseeing the child’s case and the bikers provide emotional, or in some cases physical, support to make sure that the victim feels safe throughout their legal proceedings.
