Jerry Dean Foland
Jerry Dean Foland, 78, of Kingsland died Oct. 15, 2010. He was born to Arthur and Deva (Fattig) Foland on Dec. 12, 1931, in Brush, Colo.
He grew up in Missouri.
He was a sergeant in the Army stationed in Germany from 1956-1958. In 1977 he moved to Texas.
He was a jack-of-all-trades. Whatever the problem, he had a solution.
Survivors include daughters Lana Bohannon of Kingsland and Lori Silchia of Parker, Colo.; son Barry Foland of Littleton, Colo.; siblings Neil and Judy Foland of Carbondale, Ill., Donald and Marilyn Foland of Plattsburg, Mo., Karen Glidewell of Higginsville, Mo., Twila Sands of Camden, Mo., and Gary and Diane Foland of Warrenton, Mo.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Arlene Matteson.
A memorial service was Oct. 18 at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
Full military honors were rendered by the Highland Lakes Honor Guard.
