Dale E. Marks, 74, of Lake Buchanan near Burnet, died Dec. 3, 2010, after a 12-year battle with several cancers.

He was born in Flint, Mich., Sept. 3, 1936, to Edward Frederick Marks and Fern Elizabeth (Dusseau) Marks.

Early in his childhood, he moved to Adrian, Mich., where he graduated from Adrian High School in 1955. He served in the Army 1959-1962 and received an honorable discharge at Fort Sill, Okla.
