Neal Lanham Norris
Neal Lanham Norris, 82, of Kingsland died Dec. 26, 2010. He was born in Taylor Dec. 21, 1928.
He graduated from Harlandale High School in 1947, where he achieved many awards in football and track.
He retired from Southwestern Bell Co. after 38 years. Later, he served on the Llano Hospital and Appraisal Board, Kingsland Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and as the Aqua Boom co-chairman.
Also, he served on the Lower Colorado River Authority board.
Survivors include daughters Belle Guice and Pat Unruh, both of Spring Branch; sons Taylor Norris of Magnolia and Bobby Norris of Houston; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Joyce Norris, Pat Helms, Bettye Holzmann and Barbara Arnold; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Anna Belle Norris.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Dec. 28 at Putnam Funeral Home & Crematory, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
Services are 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Kingsland Community Church, 1136 RR 1431 in Kingsland, (325) 388-4516.
