Tony Roger Wills, 60, of Kingsland died Jan. 2, 2011, in Austin.

He was born Sept. 25, 1950, in Burnet to Herschel H. Wills  and Minnie Terry Wills.

 

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Kingsland.

He was an accomplished jack-of-all-trades and excelled at working with his hands.

Survivors include son Justin and wife Vicky Wills of Arlington; daughter DeLaina and

husband Ian Kidd of Justin; former wife and soul mate Wanda Wills of Arkansas;

stepdaughters Sandra and husband Chuck Mitchell of Iowa, and Jaynelle and husband Mark Didway of Bertram; grandchildren Morgan, Luke and Lauren Wills, Drake, Mikaela Asher, Evyn and Ethan Kidd; step-grandchildren Angelia, Lily Faye and Charles Jr. Mitchell, Hailey, Tanner and Amber Didway; sisters Evelyn and husband Nelson McMurrey of San Antonio, Mona and husband Ken Adams of Kingsland, Merlene and husband Dayton Houy of Marble Falls; brothers Denton Wills Sr. and Kenneth and wife Dee Wills, all of Burnet; numerous nieces and nephews; longtime friend Glenn Gates of Jonestown; and canine companion A.J.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Shirley Nolan Wills; and sister Audra Wills.

A visitation is 6-8 p.m. Jan. 5 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. Jan. 6 at the funeral home with the Rev. Matt Homeyer officiating.

Interment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Burnet.

Pallbearers include Bob Wills, Dee Wills, Denton Wills Jr., Alan Wills,  Greg Bowers, Travis Bowers, Neal Sharp, Galen Gates and Brandon Wills.

Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Gates, Carrol Johnson and David Halbert.
