Katherine K. Blankinship
Katherine K. Blankinship, 63, of Spicewood died Dec. 12, 2010, while at home. She was born June 10, 1947, in Monroe, La., to Minnie Cooper and James Kolb.
After moving to McAllen, she met husband Z.L. Blankinship.
She was a retired office manager who truly enjoyed her job. She will be remembered as a caring and artistic person who enjoyed reading and fishing. She also was an active member of Spicewood Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include son Lee Blankinship and wife Patty of Austin; daughter Alicia Turnley of Smithville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and lifelong friends.
A memorial is 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at Spicewood Baptist, 7903 CR 404 in Spicewood.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Spicewood Baptist.
