Clifton Wallace Lovejoy Jr., 84, of Marble Falls died Jan. 9, 2011. He was born Jan.  10, 1926, to C.W. and Cora Hullum Lovejoy in Chicago. 

He served in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Hancock during World War ll. He was married to Ramona Shockley. He owned and operated several restaurants in Johnson City and Marble Falls.  He lived in the area since 1947 and loved to play poker. 

In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters Monette L. Allen and Denise Cohan, both of Marble Falls; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Jan. 12 at the Putnam Funeral Home & Crematory, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008, with the reverends Jackie English and Randy Moncebaiz officiating.

The Highland Lakes Honor Guard is furnishing military honors.
