Kate Wolf
Kate Wolf, 100, died Jan. 29, 2011, in Burnet. She was a third-generation rancher born in 1910 to Thomas S. Wolf and Hibernia Moreland Wolf. Her pioneer family has farmed and raised cattle, sheep and goats in Burnet County for 127 years.
She enjoyed oil painting, cooking, quilting, genealogy, stamp collecting and gardening.
Survivors include sister Ruth E. Wolf of Burnet; two nieces; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by sisters Ernestine Wolf and Edna Wolf Pabst; and brother Ben “Buck” Wolf.
Services were officiated by the Rev. Dawn Rosignol. Interment was at the Bethel Cemetery.
The family thanks the staff of the Oaks Nursing Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or the Herman Brown Free Library in Burnet.
