Doyle D. “Chick” Rollins, 73, of Marble Falls died Feb. 19, 2011. He was born June 10, 1937, in Liberty Hill to Dennis Dee and Mary Jane Rollins.

He was a very generous, hardworking person and donated the majority of his free time to charity. He was an avid outdoorsman. Those who have seen his numerous trophy mounts can attest he was a master of his craft.

He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge, was past master, district instructor, district deputy grand master and received the golden trowel.

Survivors include daughters Sharon Jay and husband Mike of Lexington, and Ronda Heffington and husband Dennis of Granite Shoals; grandchildren Amber Greer and husband Barry and Clint Ware and wife Kassi, all of Marble Falls, Charlie Ware of Burnet, Clifford Jay and fiancé Natalie and Chris Jay, all of Lexington, Brock Heffington of Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Summer Heffington of San Antonio; great-grandchildren Kerstin, Jenna, Morgan, Trinity, Tincia, Kira and Cadence; brother Grady Rollins of Liberty Hill; and many other relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Christine Rollins; son Bo Rollins; brother James Robert; and parents Dennis Dee and Mary Jane Rollins.

Visitation was Feb. 21 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.

A service is 10 a.m. Feb. 22 at First Baptist Church, 501 Twelfth St. in Marble Falls, with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating.

Interment will follow at Marble Falls Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Charles Ware Jr., Clint Ware, Clifford Jay, Christopher Jay, Warren Conely III, Barry Greer. Honorary pallbearer is Robert Rollins.
