Joseph ‘Joe’ Berry

Joseph “Joe” Berry, 88, died March 4, 2011, in Round Rock. He was born July 27, 1922, to Sylvia (Hink) and Joseph Berry in Grinnell, Iowa.
He married Nell Faye Talbott in Honolulu in 1948.
He served in the Navy until his retirement. He was a member of the USS Helena Organization, Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and World War II Association.
Survivors include daughter Robin Telano and husband Roy of Spring Branch; sons David Berry and wife Ana of Boerne, and Richard Berry and wife Valerie of New Braunfels; grandchildren Teresa, Amie, Trisha, Brian, Matthew, Tomas, Chad, Nichole, Michael and Jake; and great-grandchildren Gage, Noah, Alyssa, Hannah, Madilyn and Kristina.
He was preceded in death by his in 2005; parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
A funeral service is 11 a.m. March 8 at the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church in Kingsland with the Rev. Grady Roe officiating.
Military graveside services provided by the Highland Lakes Honor Guard at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County.
Pallbearers include grandsons Tomas Berry, Brian Telano, Matthew Berry, Chad Berry, Michael Berry and Jake Berry.
Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Lakes United Methodist Church.
