Robert Louis Pryor

Robert Louis Pryor, 77, of Marble Falls died March 17, 2011. He was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Canadian, Okla.
He married Julia Clark Pryor on Aug. 14, 1954, in Acuff. They had a 57-year journey together.
He had many obstacles to overcome in his life, including the loss of his parents at an early age, a life-changing car accident in 1967 and many significant health issues in his later years. Despite all his obstacles, he was very generous and always willing to help anyone.
At a very young age, he took responsibility for the well being of his little sister and that continued all his life. He was truly a self-made man. He lived in several places in Texas, finally settling in Austin, but his heart was always in the cotton fields around Lubbock.
He was happiest riding around looking at the cotton and visiting with his old friends. He was very proud of his cotton farms.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters Debbie Nell Spears and Lisa Pryor Johnson; grandchildren Kelly Lea Fowlkes, Emily Alise Polson and twins David Hunter Johnson and Taylor Rochelle Johnson; great-grandson Ronnie Jackson Fowlkes; and sister Loretta Pryor Carey.
Services were March 19 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373, with the Rev. Ross Chandler officiating with burial in Fall Creek Cemetery in Spicewood.
Pallbearers included Hunter Johnson, Jordan Fowlkes, Richard Spears, Marty Crouch, Danny Crouch, Robert Crouch, John Rankin and Stephen Rankin.
