Helen Marie Willard
Helen Marie Willard, 83, of Buchanan Dam died Aug. 31, 2010. She was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Charleston, Mo., to Walter McCormick and Martha (Scheffler) McCormick.
She worked in the retail sales business and was a former resident of Catalina, Ariz., before moving to Buchanan Dam in 1985. She was a member of Buchanan West Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, cooking and taking care of her family.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Dan and Karol Willard, , Gary and Kelly Willard, and David and Annette Willard, all of Buchanan Dam; daughter and son-in-law Donna and Randy Clough of Buchanan Dam; sister Betty Hodges of St. Louis; brother-in-law Johnnie Chronister of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Red” Willard.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sept. 2 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
A funeral is 10 a.m. Sept. 3 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Stratton officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include grandchildren Kevin Willard, Jon Willard, Ryan Willard, Philip Clough, Jason Clough, Brandon Willard and Chris Willard.
