Warren Dale Freeman

Warren Dale Freeman, 53, died Aug. 27, 2010. He was born Sept. 1, 1956, in Burnet to Bonnie Faye (Scott) and Warren Carl Freeman.
He married Jil (Landon) Freeman Aug. 11, 1979, at Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church in Llano.
After graduating from Llano High School in 1974, he obtained degrees from both Southwest Texas State University at San Marcos and The University of Texas at Austin School of Pharmacy, where he finished at the top of his class.
However, this soft-spoken man was known more for his kind heart than his many accomplishments.
He was first and foremost a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. But many also knew him as an avid (and fifth-generation) rancher and businessman and a member of the Hill Country Livestock Raisers Association, as well as the Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club.
Always an entrepreneur, his business, the Kingsland Pharmacy, was most recently voted 2010’s “Business of the Year.” His work ethic and selfless outlook on life set an example for all. He loved his family, he loved his ranch, he loved his pharmacy and he loved his community. He was loved by all.
In addition to his wife of Kingsland, survivors include sons Jason Freeman and wife Elizabeth of Dallas, and Blake Freeman and Stephen Freeman; mother Bonnie Freeman Dann of Bluffton; brother Joe Freeman and wife Carol of Llano; and sister Kathy Mudd and husband Gary of Bluffton.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1964.
A funeral service is 4 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Llano High School auditorium, 200 E. Lampasas St. in Llano, with the Rev. Tommie Beck officiating. Burial will follow at the Llano City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jason Freeman, Blake Freeman, Stephen Freeman, Scott Bradley, Travis Ratliff, Hunter Ratliff, Ross Freeman, Billy Ratliff and Mark Stephenson.
Memorials may be made to the Dale Freeman Memorial Scholarship Fund, Prosperity Bank, 1801 W. RR 1431, Kingsland, TX 78639
