Charles Jacob Buckelew
Charles Jacob Buckelew, 90, of Burnet died Aug. 10, 2010. He was born June 28, 1920, in Columbus, Texas. He was the son of John William Buckelew and Ella Baker.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertram. He enjoyed ranching and playing 42 with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his exotic birds.
Survivors include his wife Janis Buckelew of Burnet; sons Dean and wife Coleen Buckelew of Burnet and Kelley and wife Linda Buckelew of Houston; daughter Kathy Linder of Burnet; grandchildren Kristy Brumley, Scott and Jennifer Buckelew, Rebecca Prier, John and Rachel Jansen, and Sean and Sara Linder; and great-grandchildren Khyrstyn, Megan, Shayla, Colton, Dusty, Kylie, Heston, Hannah and Michael.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eugene Buckelew; sons Gary Buckelew and Kevin Collins; and daughter Stephanie Buckelew.
A visitation is 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 E. Polk St. in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
A funeral service is 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at the funeral home chapel with Mike Davis and Gordon Bergstrom officiating.
Interment will follow at the Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
Pallbearers include John Michael Jansen, Sean Edward Linder, Scott Buckelew, Leonard McCormick and Jason and Justin Perez. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Christiansen and Men of the International Ministerial Institute.
