Ada Mae Oglesby, 93, of Kingsland died April 12, 2011. She was born in Hamilton County on June 7, 1917, to Jesse and Emmaline Porterfield Blakley. She was married to J.R. Oglesby.

She was an owner-operator of a beauty shop in Angleton, sold Avon products and also owned and operated a dry-cleaning business.

She attended the Church of Christ in Kingsland. She was a member of the senior citizens center in Kingsland and was a Rebecca. She liked games, especially dominoes.

She had lived in the Angleton area for 20 years, Hamilton for 15 years and Kingsland for about 14 years.

Survivors include her daughters Beth and husband Henry Kattner of Kingsland, Kay Page of Angleton and Penny and husband Steve Grimes of Brazos; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1994; brothers and sisters; granddaughter Beverly Vetter in 2009; son-in-law Raymond Page in 2004; and great-granddaughter Cheryl Stradley.

A visitation is 6-8 p.m. April 14 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A service is 11 a.m. April 15 at the Church of Christ, 2310 RR 1431 West in Kingsland, with Joe Winnett officiating.

A graveside service is 3:30 p.m. April 15 at the Fairy Cemetery in Fairy.
