Clovis Christene (Jeffcoat ) Caughman

Clovis Christene (Jeffcoat) Caughman, 90, of Llano died July 24, 2010.
She was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Collin County to Hattie Gracie (Bennett) and Daniel Edward Jeffcoat.
She married Oliver Taylor Caughman Nov. 12, 1937, in Eagle Pass.
She lived most of her life as a resident in Flower Grove, she taught Sunday school for many years, gardened, canned and was very community-oriented.
Survivors include her daughter Naomi Inman and husband Les of Llano; sons Jerry Taylor and wife Mena of Fair Oaks Ranch, and Glynn Oliver and wife Peggy of Nashville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a great- great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003; her parents; daughter Carron Deathrage; grandson Jody Deathrage; sisters Carmanetta Sikes, Lillian Mitchell and Laquetta Allred; and brother Daniel Leon Jeffcoat.
A service is 2 p.m. July 29 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel, 307 E. Sandstone St. in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Cemetery in Burnet County.
Pallbearers include Richard Inman, Jerry Deathrage, Don Kleier, Kent Phillips, Doug Williams, Kyle Whitley and Steve Mueller.
