Elner Evagene Tyler Simmons

Elner Evagene Tyler Simmons, 84, of Spicewood, died July 10 at a local hospital.

She was born Sept. 24, 1925, in Lexington.

For 25 years, she was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co. She was a member of the Marble Falls Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son Charles Simmons and his wife Hermelinda; and daughter Evagene Thorp and her husband Pascal of Spicewood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Culberson and Alva Worley Tyler; and brothers Branch and Hunter Tyler.

A service is 3 p.m. July 13 at the Fall Creek Cemetery in Spicewood.

Memorials can be made to the Spicewood Volunteer Fire Department.
