Mary Helen (Walker) McCoy, 87, died May 6, 2011. She was born in Midland on March 22, 1924.

Before retiring, she served for 20 years as secretary to the principal of Schulze Elementary School in San Antonio’s Harlandale Independent School District. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their recreational vehicle and made many trips with family and close friends.

Survivors include her daughter Mickey Hampton and husband Wayne of San Antonio; grandchildren Vince McCoy and wife Nicole, Randy McCoy and wife Tanya, Mandy Hampton Wray and husband Kraig and Heather (Hampton) Williams and husband Greg; great-grandchildren Bryce, Tyler, Amber and Douglas McCoy; brother James Walker; daughter-in-law Linda McCoy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog Max.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James V. “Mac” McCoy; son James R. “Rod” McCoy; and great-grandson Devon McCoy.

A service is 11 a.m. May 11 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Marble Falls.
