Marble Falls attorney Maegen E. Fox of Fox Edge Kuykendall PLLC was recently elected to serve as a member of the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Selection as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is restricted to members of the State Bar of Texas. Only one-third of 1 percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become fellows.
Fox was elected as a fellow by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees for her outstanding professional achievements and commitment to the improvement of the Texas justice system.
“Election is a mark of distinction and recognition of Ms. Fox’s contributions to the legal profession,” reads a media release issued by the Texas Bar Foundation.
Fox is a seventh-generation resident of Burnet County and a fifth-generation resident of Marble Falls. She serves on boards for the Marble Falls Inclusive Play Group and the Marble Falls Education Foundation.
The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the country. It was founded in 1965 with 255 charter members and has grown to over 10,000 fellows in 2024.
The nonprofit relies on charitable contributions to provide funding to enhance the rule of law and the Texas justice system.
Donations received by the foundation are reissued to programs twice a year to impact communities statewide. The nonprofit awarded $79,000 in the fall of 2023 to programs in Blanco, Burnet, Hays, Lampasas, Llano, and San Saba counties.
“To date, the Texas Bar Foundation has distributed more than $26 million throughout Texas to assist nonprofit organizations with a wide range of justice-related programs and services,” reads the release.
The foundation is currently accepting grant applications for the spring of 2024. The deadline for applicants is Jan. 15.
