Clodell Irene Everett Blackard

Clodell Irene Everett Blackard, 90, died June 6, 2010, in Burnet. She was born March 16, 1920, at Oatmeal, the eleventh of 12 children in the family of Thomas Calvin and Leola Lillian Jennings.
She married Jim Everett Dec. 28, 1935, and they remained in Burnet to raise three children. After the death of her husband, she married O’Neal Blackard in 1995.
She became a Christian at a young age and had an enduring faith all her life. She was a member of Oaks West Church of Christ in Burnet.
She raised her children to believe in God and taught by example her values of hard work, honesty and compassion for others.
Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the delight of her life and they all remember her love that nurtured and sustained them.
Survivors include daughters Shirley McCoy of Burnet and Janice Harmatuk and husband Paul of Austin; daughter-in-law Margret Everett of Cedar Park; grandchildren Randy McCoy, Terry McCoy, Melony Constanzo, Tracy Pittman, Tina Ritter, Travis Everett, Kevin Ross and Kim Stein; sister Ruth Nora Huggins of Colorado Springs, Colo.; great-grandchildren Heather McCoy Smith, Kenney McCoy, Wendy McCoy, Hannah McCoy, Claire McCoy, Cullen Constanzo, Cassie Constanzo, Cliff Pittman, James Pittman, Cara Pittman, Keith Williams, Mark Williams, Tyler Williams, Jayme Stein and Shane Finger; 11 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her son Jimmy Everett and son-in-law Bill McCoy.
A service is 11 a.m. June 9 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 E. Polk St. in Burnet, (512) 756-2222, with Joe Fitch officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Randy McCoy, Terry McCoy, Tim Constanzo, Travis Everett, Mike Pittman, John Ritter, Kevin Ross and Shaun Stein.
