Vehicle goes over cliff in Granite Shoals, police investigating

Granite Shoals police are investigating an Aug. 7 incident in which a vehicle went over a cliff and into the water at a quarry deep within city limits.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Beech Drive after receiving a report of a vehicle in the water. Investigators determined an unknown person entered the property without authorization and interfered with a vehicle owned by a private company.

The vehicle subsequently went over the cliff and into the water, resulting in extensive damage.

Police are seeking information that could help identify the person responsible and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information about it to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information is not available at this time.
