The Cowboy Fast Draw Association is an organization of over 7,500 Fast Draw members, operating since 2002. The association holds several competitions a year throughout multiple states for prizes, money, awards, and titles.

“It’s a fierce competition on that line for a couple minutes, doing whatever it takes, then you get through the match and after that you’re over there laughing and poking fun at (your competitor) having a good time,” Troy Bollock, alias Boulder Vaquero, told DailyTrib of the competition. “It’s safety first, fun second, competition third. It’s a true family.”
