Quincy Jette, 19, of Spicewood passed away June 5, 2025

Quincy Jette, 19, of Spicewood, Texas, tragically passed away on June 5, 2025, in a car accident.
Born on January 12, 2006, in Shenzhen, China, Quincy became a beloved part of his forever family when he was adopted at age 8 by Jeanna and Justin Jette. With courage and resilience, he embraced his new life in America, learning English, adapting to a new culture, and quickly leaving a mark on everyone he met.
Quincy was exceptionally bright and curious. He graduated from Falls Career High School in November 2024 and walked at the Graduation Ceremony on May 23. He previously attended Marble Falls High School, where he played football and made many lasting friendships. He was thoughtfully exploring his future and the kind of life he wanted to build. He had recently started considering attending trade school while working a new job at the Round Mountain Cider Mill.
Quincy had a heart for adventure and found joy in the simple things: traveling to new places, spending time outdoors, gaming with friends, and creating imaginative meals in the kitchen. He especially loved cooking for his family, often blending flavors from different cultures into one-of-a-kind dishes that reflected his curiosity and creativity. He was the best companion for a high-end dining experience, pushing Justin and Jeanna to try new things and broadening their palettes.
Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing in Colorado with his Papa, playing with his golden retrievers Aspen and Summit, playing pickleball at Bee Creek UMC, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns at football games with the Jette side of the family. He loved music, fashion, and making people laugh—often without even trying. Quincy had an infectious, LOUD laugh and an ear-to-ear smile. His sharp wit, generous heart, and joyful spirit made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.
He is deeply loved and survived by his parents, Justin and Jeanna Jette of Spicewood, Texas, and his sibling, Max Jette of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by his grandparents, Dean and Beth Morgan of Spicewood, Debra Jette of Marble Falls, and Francis Jette of Marble Falls.
Quincy was cherished by his extended family, including his Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Chris Baugus and their children, Rita “Zephyr” Butler, Addison Butler, and Ava Baugus; his Uncle Bryan Jette and Aunt Angie Puccioni and their daughters, Kea and Loa; and his Aunt Lauren Jette. He leaves behind many more extended family members and friends who adored him and will carry his memory with them in love.
A celebration of Quincy’s life will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Bee Creek United Methodist Church in Spicewood, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Marble Falls Education Foundation for the Quincy Jette Memorial Scholarship Fund.
