Register now for the 10th annual Shoot for Coop sporting clay fundraiser planned for Saturday, May 18, on the DeSpain family ranch, 14415 FM 1174 South in Marble Falls. Sign up online.
Plans for the event include a morning skeet shooting competition and an afternoon lunch. The party continues into the evening with a barbecue, live music, and an auction for a new Polaris Ranger Crew Cab and other items.
Four-member teams will receive clay pigeons and 12- and 20-gauge ammunition. Participants are encouraged to bring eye protection.
The cost is $700 for male and co-ed teams, $400 for female teams, and $250 for teams of children ages 15 and younger. Payment can be made via Venmo, PayPal, or check.
Sponsorship packages ranging from $250 to $2,500 are available for area businesses wanting to support the fundraiser’s mission.
Proceeds go toward the Cooper DeSpain Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards 18 area high school graduates each year. Past scholarship recipients have graduated from schools in Marble Falls, Burnet, Llano, Lampasas, and Liberty Hill.
The fund was founded in the memory of Cooper Despain, who died at the age of 9 in an ATV accident on Aug. 8, 2014.
