Tickets are available for the first-ever Fashion Show Fundraiser for Recovery for Open Door Recovery House, a nonprofit based in Marble Falls that offers housing and support for women seeking help with alcohol and drug addiction. The event is from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 21 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 201 Dalton Circle in Horseshoe Bay. Tickets are $20 each.

Current Open Door house members along with graduates, whom event organizers call “angels,” will model the latest trends for show guests.

“They’ll be telling their own stories and journeys as they model the latest fashions,” said event organizer Patti Scott. “It’s about providing support and encouragement to the ladies of the house.”

KXAN anchor Jennifer Sanders and Christian humorist Steve London are scheduled as guest speakers. A silent auction is also planned.

“We’re probably going to have between 30 and 35 really nice items on the table,” Scott said.

Additionally, guests can enter to win a Louis Vuitton purse or Swarovski binoculars. Raffle tickets are $25 each.

Sponsorship levels for the fundraiser range from $250 to $5,000. Each level offers a reserved table for eight as well as various forms of acknowledgement during the event.

Organizers hope the fundraiser continues for years to come.

“This is the first year we’ve done this, but we’re hoping it will be the first year of many,” Scott said. “We have been so overwhelmingly blessed by the amount of support the community has shown for this fundraiser.”
