Faith Academy father-daughter dance Feb. 11

For the first time, Faith Academy of Marble Falls is hosting a father-daughter dance for elementary students on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 6-8 p.m at the Student Center, 3151 RR 1431 East.

“This event is one that we feel will help grow our community closer together,” said Allison Metzger, director of Student Life. “Faith Academy is about becoming partners with parents to create an atmosphere for their children that promotes the Kingdom, not only in an academic setting but also in nurturing and discipleship.”

Tickets are $15 for each father-daughter duo, while admission for dads with multiple daughters is $20. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time online on Brushfire.

The dance is only open to students in prekindergarten through fifth grade at Faith Academy. Desserts will be served at the dance. Dress code is Sunday best.

Organized by the school’s junior class student council, the dance will help raise money for next year’s prom.

“(Student council members) felt as if this would be an awesome opportunity to not only raise funds, but be a blessing to families of elementary students,” Metzger said.

Faith Academy officials hope future student councils will look to make the dance an annual event.
