Bill Glenn passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, in Kingsland, Texas, at the age of 65. He was born February 27, 1954, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Joe Garnett Glenn Jr. and Dorothy Lafern Hollingsworth.
Bill was a resident of Kingsland for 10 years since coming from the Austin area. He graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1972 and went on to study at Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Texas, where he graduated with a degree in aircraft mechanical engineering.
He worked for Horseshoe Bay airport and later Ragsdale Airport in Austin and Cessna Aircraft until he retired.
Bill was a member of the N.R.A., A.O.P.A., and the E.A.A. He enjoyed shooting, flying, and fishing.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Joe Garnett Glenn Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy L. Glenn; son, Taylor Glenn and wife Jane of Houston; daughter, Courtney Mireles of Austin; brothers, Jim Glenn and Ivy Joe Glenn, both of Canyon Lake, Texas; and two grandchildren with one on the way.
A memorial service is 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, with Charles Waugh officiating.
